Dr Matt Klein wins DFL endorsement at Minnesota Senate District 52 Convention
(MENDOTA HEIGHTS) - Matt Klein on Saturday won the endorsement from delegates to the Democratic Farmer-Labor convention for Minnesota State Senate District 52. Klein, who currently serves as a doctor of internal medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center and as a member of the school board of Independent School District 197, won the endorsement over challengers Todd Podgorski and Maureen Ramirez.
Klein was unanimously endorsed by delegates when challenger Maureen Ramirez conceded after the third ballot. “I am so grateful to all the delegates of our district for their unanimous endorsement of my campaign and who gave up a beautiful Saturday in Minnesota to take part in our democratic process,” Klein said. “I will continue my work to bring the voices of our community to the State Capitol and to continuing building relationships throughout the district, with others in our party and the organizations that work on behalf of hard-working Minnesotans and our issues.”
